About Us

The Kyrie is the first sung prayer in a liturgical worship service. The word Kyrie, comes from the Greek word, "kyrios" which means Lord. In spiritual direction, it is God and the Holy Spirit who provide the direction, so it seems appropriate that our first word of prayer is an invitation to notice God's presence.

The spiritual director is a companion--one called to accompany the spiritual journey. The spiritual directors of the Kyrie Collective are committed to this kind of compassionate companionship, walking with you as you grow in faith.
All of us are called to individual spiritual direction, some of us offer group direction, and many of us teach classes, lead retreats and offer other opportunities for growth that complement spiritual direction.

Our Story

The Kyrie Collective met as students in Tending the Holy, a certification course for spiritual directors, at Christos Center for Spiritual Formation. Connecting deeply over our shared love of God, the desire to walk with others in their relationship with Jesus and a deep joy in one another's company led us to form this collective.
